Books: the portfolios the intelligence runs
A Book is a living, parameterised portfolio in which Opulence Alpha's research, forecasts, validation, allocation and measurement operate every trading day. Its policy is declared in full, so every position traces back to a parameter, and every outcome is measured against a benchmark.
The three model portfolios
The platform runs one Book for each risk profile the sign-up questionnaire can assign. All three use the same forecasts and the same construction; they differ in how much risk each may take.
| Book | Risk profile | Largest single position | Gross exposure target |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conservative | For keeping what you have, ahead of inflation. | Lowest ceiling | Fully invested |
| Moderate | For growing steadily, without much drama. | Middle ceiling | Fully invested |
| Growth | For getting the most out of it you can. | Highest ceiling | Above fully invested |
How the three model portfolios are built
Sized by conviction
A position grows with the strength of the model's forecast, and each position's uncertainty comes from its own forecast interval, so a wide interval shrinks its own bet.
Three horizons, blended
The 5-, 21- and 63-trading-day forecasts are weighted equally into one ranking.
Costs charged on every fill
Each stock's own measured bid-ask spread (capped at 60 basis points), a 0.5-basis-point commission, and a market-impact charge on orders large enough to move the price.
Risk that can only tighten
Tiered drawdown circuit breakers, bounds on gross and net exposure, and a regime overlay that can reduce risk but never add it.
How a Book is governed
Before: the Promotion Gate
A strategy is validated before any Book may express it, and a check that could not run counts as a failure.
The Promotion Gate →During: the risk budget
Every change is checked against the Book's risk budget, set in CVaR, before it is taken; a block never stops a reduction.
Risk intelligence →After: measured every trading day
Each Book's value is published every trading day beside the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100; the Refutation Ledger keeps the weekly Golden Ticket benchmark it is compared with.
The Refutation Ledger →Build your own Book
An account starts from a risk profile or a template and runs its own Book under a declared policy, measured the same way.
Plans and the free 30-day trial →Opulence Alpha is non-custodial research software. Nothing here is investment advice.
