What I work on
Alpha research and multi-horizon return forecasting — gradient-boosted trees, sequence models and conformal quantile regression, combined by a meta-learner alongside sector-specialist and intrinsic-valuation models. Market-regime modelling that conditions how much weight a signal carries. Long and short portfolio construction under explicit exposure, drawdown and turnover limits. And the validation layer around all of it, which is the part I care most about: point-in-time data, purged cross-validation, and a pre-registered statistical gate a result has to clear before it is published.
Before this
20+ years founding and running businesses. I ran a strategy consultancy advising SME founders and C-suite teams across technology, manufacturing, cosmetics and consumer goods, and before that co-founded and ran an integrated advertising agency. The work was market sizing, pricing analysis, KPI and forecasting systems — quantitative in its own way, and always measured against P&L.
